An Exhibition by Reed Society

The first exhibition of its kind curated by Reed Society in 2022 in collaboration with the Qatar America Institute for Culture(QAIC) held in Washington DC. Intended as a tribute to the great American master calligrapher Mohamed Zakariya and his artistic legacy in the United States and to demonstrate the global art community all linked by such masters. Attendees included his licensed students, curators from The Met in NYC, The Walters Art Museum and the GWU Textile Museum as well as Davut Bektas, the premier calligrapher in Istanbul, and his wife Deniz Bektas.
